About Eldar

I have always been interested in IT since my childhood. I even disassembled a PC in the first grade when I was 7 years old. But there were not many opportunities to learn programming. My only chance was when my computer teacher at school gave me private lessons after school. Internet connection wasn’t great back then. But when internet search became possible, a new world opened up for me. I started participating in a small online community, and also started learning computer language such as C programming. I think this experience has helped me get through the competitive process into SAMSUNG IT SCHOOL.

During my time at Samsung IT, I acquired more knowledge than I had anywhere else in my life. Now I study at the Institute of Mathematics and Information Technology at Volgograd State University. Higher mathematics at the university level is difficult, but the disciplines related to programming are relatively easy for me, and I believe this is due to my previous training at Samsung IT School.

What was your reason for choosing Samsung IT School?

When I had unlimited Internet access, I spent a lot of time reading random, interesting information on IT and programming. One day, I came across some information on education and learned about the existence of Samsung IT School. I was really surprised that this government-supported project existed in our city, and of course the best part was that it was free!

What was your first impressions?

My first emotion was total delight and surprise. Before that, I had never seen so many students who were this enthusiastic about programming gathered in the same class. Of course, I was also very impressed by the classroom and all the state-of-the-art equipment. I immediately realized that I had come to study in a serious place. The courses became much more difficult as I came across completely new challenges in programming, and the course contents were something that I could not even imagine before Samsung IT School. For example, setting up, planning and executing long-term projects was not easy, but I was able to learn so much through the experience.

What did you learn during this time at the IT school and what skills did you acquire?

At Samsung IT School, I learned not only programming, but how to plan and execute large-scale projects. Quality management is also something I learned here. The experience gained at Samsung IT School helps me a lot now in university, when I’m working simultaneously on several projects. Prior to the experience, I did not understand the disadvantages and advantages of high-level programming languages or even the concepts behind app development. App development seemed like something that only a programmer at a big tech company can do. But now I know for sure that every programmer can create a great app for a mobile platform. And before, I had no idea how devices interacted and communicated with each other over the network. Now, I have grown enough in my skills that I can set up large networks with encryption and traffic isolation. Through Samsung IT School, I learned new knowledges and skills, and also gained confidence that I could grow and continue to get better.

Why did you decide to become a teacher?

I decided to become a teacher right after I found out about a job vacancy. I thought that teaching would be as interesting as learning. And I also thought that delivering information in a new and fun way would be an enjoyable experience. While teaching, I was able to enhance my own knowledge in Android and Java.

What are the reasons to provide IT education for students?

As your understanding of IT is raised, you will have more opportunities to get involved in various interesting projects on the cutting edge of technology, and this is an enjoyable experience for students. Also, through IT education, students can challenge themselves intellectually and will feel a sense of accomplishments just from this experience.

What are your plans for the future?

Not so long ago, I was a schoolboy at Samsung IT School, but today I am a teacher! No one knows the future, but that’s what makes it exciting. I really look forward to where my experience at Samsung IT School will take me to.
