Samsung Morocco and the Ministry of National Education, Preschool, and Sports announced the launch of the fourth edition of the Samsung Innovation Campus (SIC) in Morocco, demonstrating Samsung's ongoing dedication to digital education and innovation in the country's education sector. The partnership aims to promote the widespread use of new technologies and innovative skills in school learning and support the development of the next generation of ICT-competent professionals through training programs.

A meeting was held in the presence of the Minister of National Education, Preschool, and Sports and the President of Samsung Electronics Maghreb Arab (SEMAG) to officially reaffirm Samsung and the Ministry's commitment to support the digitalization of education in Morocco. The participants discussed the education system's current challenges and explored how SIC can contribute to its development. They agreed to continue the collaboration by providing practical and innovative skills to young Moroccans to prepare them for the future. The fourth edition of SIC will train 240 teachers, with an average of 20 teachers per region, from all 12 regions of the Kingdom.

Since 2019, over 10,000 students have gained coding skills through the efforts of 211 teachers deployed across nine fully-equipped centers, each furnished with over 500 computers and TVs. The program has conducted a total of 1,001 workshops to improve the computer proficiency of young participants.

During the meeting, Mr. Chakib Benmoussa, Minister of National Education, Preschool, and Sports, suggested speeding up the rollout of the program so that all computer science teachers can benefit from the Samsung Innovation Campus and its technological innovations.

"We have been working with the Ministry of National Education, Preschool and Sports for several years," said Mr. James Kim, the President of Samsung Electronics Maghreb Arab (SEMAG). "Our partnership continues to serve the national education system. Thanks to Samsung Innovation Campus, we are enabling teachers from different regions of the kingdom to have access to the latest trends in new information technologies. This fourth edition reaffirms Samsung's position as an actor working for the development of the national education system."
