Samsung Innovation Campus recognized as “Best Social Responsibility Activity” in Egypt

Samsung Innovation Campus was recognized as the “Best Social Responsibility Activity for the Youth” award for 2021 in Egypt. The award was granted by Tedx Tabary ElHegaz in its second edition, which was held on the 27th of August in Egypt's Society for Culture & Development, under the theme of “Determination, Will and Striving against Obstacles”. Samsung Innovation Campus was recognized for leading and effective role in providing quality content and advanced technologies for the youth in the field of Coding & Programming and artificial intelligence, which goes in line with the Egypt vision 2030.

Additionally, Samsung Innovation Campus expanded its network with strategic partnership with the Egyptian government, represented through the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology, to provide the Egyptian market with advanced technical solutions and programs catering to different needs of students. Samsung Innovation campus also fulfills the youth’s aspirations by equipping them to deal with the 4th industrial revolution and provide smart digital services and diversified technological solutions for the society, as well as providing adequate knowledge to be able to manage communication networks.

Ahmed Ali Gaafar, Head of Marketing at Samsung Electronics Egypt, said that he is thrilled with the achievements Samsung Innovation Campus was able to accomplish since its launch in 2019. He added that the program plans to graduate 1,000 students by the end of 2022, which goes in line with Samsung's vision in enhancing youths’ skills to utilize advanced technology and equip them for the labor market. Gaafar stressed that Samsung is constantly striving to improve the content of the program where “Samsung Mentorship Program” was added recently.

“Samsung Innovation Campus” has garnered multiple awards, for its active role in social responsibility, most notably, “Best practices in responsible businesses” award from the American University in Cairo, during the closing ceremony of Business Forward 2021, in honor of its efforts in supporting and empowering Egyptian youth to enter the labor market, and unemployment elimination. Moreover, Samsung has won BT100 award in 2020 for “Corporate Social Responsibility active Role in Scientific Research” through Samsung Innovation Campus. Egypt is one of the four countries in the Middle East and North Africa, in addition to thirteen countries worldwide to implement Samsung Innovation Campus program.
