Students of Armenia Strengthen Their IT Skills at Samsung Innovation Campus

Samsung launched its first Samsung Innovation Campus in Armenia in collaboration with Armenia’s international boarding school, UWC Dilijan. The program officially took off at an opening ceremony in March 2022 where the first 40 students from Yerevan, Gyumri, Vanаdzor, and other local communities gathered to celebrate.

Samsung Innovation Campus is focused on advanced IT education for 14- to 16-year-old students and aims to deliver a combination of online sessions and in-person, free of charge. Students will learn in-depth IT theory and gain practical knowledge of mobile application development for Android.

In November 2021, UWC Dilijan* and Samsung Electronics signed an agreement to start Samsung Innovation Campus in Dilijan, Armenia.

“With its world-class campus and international community of students and teachers, UWC Dilijan aims to make both a local and global impact on education in Armenia. I believe that our partnership with Samsung and the launch of Samsung Innovation Campus program will help students acquire the knowledge and skills necessary for a successful career in digital technology,” said Gabriel Ernesto Abad Fernández, Head of UWC Dilijan.

Today, computer technologies play a crucial role in the economics of forward-looking countries. The aim of Samsung Innovation Campus in Armenia is to contribute to the country’s technological development and empower young people with the knowledge and skills necessary for a successful career in digital technologies.

Samsung Innovation Campus is one of such global initiatives, focused on helping students from all over the world learn technologies like AI and IoT, as well as providing career opportunities. Currently, Samsung Innovation Campus operates in about 20 countries around the world with over 160,000 students having successfully finished Samsung Electronics’ IT education program.


*Founded in 2014, UWC Dilijan is the first international boarding school of the United World College education model in Armenia. Currently, there are 220 students from more than 80 countries and 36 academic staff members from 15 countries in the school.
