In Egypt, Samsung Innovation Campus won “Best Practices in Responsible Businesses” award from the American University in Cairo during the closing ceremony of Business Forward Award 2021. Business Forward is the knowledge portal of the AUC School of Business, it serves as a credible destination for business knowledge, insight and analysis on Egypt and the Arab region.

The award recognized Samsung Innovation Campus efforts in elevating and empowering Egyptian youths to step into the labor market and cut unemployment rates.

Samsung Innovation Campus as ‘best responsible business’

Samsung Innovation Campus boosts sustainability through teaching languages of the future. It comes in line with Egypt’s Vision 2030 which enables the youth to keep pace with the Fourth Industrial Revolution, aiming to enhance their skills and provide the society with a competent pool of human resources.

In addition to the program’s efforts to prepare the Egyptian youth for the future, Samsung Innovation Campus was especially praised for the ‘Samsung Innovation Campus (SIC) alumni club’. SIC alumni club is the first Egyptian community that brings together top-ranking computer programmers from the country as well as youth from across Middle East and North Africa who have received training from Samsung.

SIC alumni club works towards driving the region to optimum digital transformation, and sustainability is a major factor that keeps the program rolling. Forthcoming rounds’ trainers of Samsung Innovation Campus in Egypt are selected from the alumni club, capitalizing on the young people who have shown excellence in the program. Such sustainable effort has been highly praised and was indeed one of the factors that contributed to the big win.

The AUC Business Forward Award for Samsung Innovation Campus was given at an official ceremony on March 30. Moussa Georgy, Senior PR & CSR Manager at Samsung Egypt, was present to receive the award, where Samsung Innovation Campus was again applauded for its substantial role in solving pressing societal challenges of Egypt and the world.
