Indonesia saw the second batch of students graduate from its Samsung Innovation Campus in 2021. Until its second implementation, the program has reached 529 students and 39 teachers from 17 vocational schools in the country.
Samsung Innovation Campus has set its presence as a promising partner for the local students to build their knowledge and experience in the field of IT. Aisa and Salwa are young digital talents who have successfully completed the program and are now ready to advance Indonesia's stature as an innovation hub in the future.
“Education in line with the needs of today’s job market“ - Aisa Selvira
Hello, I am Aisa and I participated in Indonesia’s second Samsung Innovation Campus. Having no prior knowledge in the IT sector, Samsung Innovation Campus was certainly a tough but precious experience. Throughout the curriculum, I was able to understand programming languages that I had never learned before and it upped my coding skills to an extent where I could build a website on my own during the course.
Samsung Innovation Campus is an invaluable program in the sense that it teaches the most wanted skills in today’s job market. In the long term, I want to join a company where I can subsequently apply the different skills I have acquired. I hope that someday I will be in a position where I can share my digitalization expertise with the younger generation and contribute to their growth in the same way that Samsung has cultivated and trained youth through Samsung Innovation Campus.
“Discovering new interests, hobbies, and goals for the future“ - Salwa Nurul Aisha
Hi. I am Salwa. I study power electronics and communication engineering. Samsung Innovation Campus was a challenge for me at first as programming was not my expertise. But in the short time, I formed strong bonds with fellow classmates and mentors who supported one another since the beginning. After months of studying the new technologies, we discovered new interests, hobbies, and goals for the future.
Thanks to Samsung Innovation Campus, I have definitely improved my collaborative skills, problem-solving, and creative thinking – on top of coding skills. All these skill sets will be useful and highly sought after in the job market.
The completion of my studies at Samsung Innovation Campus is just the beginning for me. I will not stop here but will continue my journey of becoming a web developer. To branch out further, I plan on taking full-stack and coding training this year. I hope that by doing so, I will be able to maximize my knowledge in the relevant fields and be equipped as an attractive job candidate in the IT industry.
