In a world driven by rapid technological advancements, hands-on experience is essential for preparing young innovators for the future. The Coconut team from Bornwit School, consisting of Pathanin Ngensuphalak, Pannatat Chitrapakdee, and Adul Wit Khajittanon, along with their advisor Mr. Sarun Nuanchin, winners of Thailand's Samsung Solve for Tomorrow 2024 program, embarked on an inspiring field trip to Suwon, South Korea, last December.
The trip aimed to expand their knowledge, open new perspectives, and inspire them to apply their skills in real-world solutions. This initiative aims to expand their horizons, ignite creativity, and equip them with the knowledge to shape the future.
An Immersive Experience in the Heart of Innovation
The Coconut team earned their place in this program through their groundbreaking innovation. Their project, an intrusion detection system for wild elephants powered by AI, is designed to effectively alert communities and prevent human-wildlife conflicts. This innovative solution not only showcases their technical prowess but also highlights their commitment to using technology for societal benefit.
The Coconut team's Samsung tour in South Korea included the SIM (history of electronics), eX-Home (smart living), and Hongdae Flagship Store (latest Galaxy devices), offering a comprehensive look at Samsung's innovations.
"From semiconductors to smart homes to the newest phones, Samsung's innovation hubs showed me the full spectrum of what technology can do. The SIM gave me a historical perspective, eX-Home showed me the present and future of connected living, and the Hongdae store let me experience the cutting edge firsthand. It was an amazing journey," said Pathanin.
Samsung’s Commitment to Nurturing Future Innovators
By providing young innovators with opportunities like this trip, Samsung continues to inspire the next generation of leaders, helping them transform their ideas into impactful solutions. As the Coconut team returns home, they carry not just memories of South Korea but a renewed vision for the future. Their journey with Samsung reinforces the power of innovation, proving that with the right support and exposure, young minds can turn dreams into reality. The Coconut team’s future is brimming with possibilities as they continue to pursue their passion for AI and technology-driven solutions.
