From Ideas to Impact: Students Sharpen Solutions at Solve for Tomorrow 2025 Design Thinking Workshop

Samsung Solve for Tomorrow 2025

Malaysia’s young innovators are one step closer to transforming their ideas into reality as the Top 10 semi-finalist team of Samsung Solve for Tomorrow 2025 wrapped up the Design Thinking Workshop (DTW) held recently at Universiti Malaya.

The workshop served as an intensive mentoring and refinement phase, where participants received hands-on guidance from academic and industry experts to sharpen their ideas and enhance their impact on local communities. From a sustainable tree health monitoring tool to an AI-powered posture monitoring app and even sustainable shoes that generate electricity from our daily steps, the ideas reflected the creativity and social awareness of Malaysia’s future changemakers.

Following the workshop, all teams have submitted their refined ideas for evaluation, and the judges are now in the process of selecting the Top 5 finalists who will advance to the Grand Finale. On 6 December, the shortlisted teams will showcase their innovations and compete for the championship title.

Through Solve for Tomorrow, Samsung Malaysia continues to empower young Malaysians to think critically, innovate boldly, and use STEM as a catalyst for meaningful change in their communities.
