Istanbul 2025 – Since its launch in 2021, Samsung Solve for Tomorrow in Türkiye has empowered thousands of 8th to 12th grade students to address societal and environmental challenges using STEM and Design Thinking. This global educational platform powered by a collaboration between Samsung Türkiye and the Habitat Associate (Habitat Derneği) has fostered local innovation with global impact.

Solve for Tomorrow’s Partnership with Habitat Association

Founded in 1997 by young activists inspired by the 1995 Copenhagen and 1996 UN Habitat II Summits, Habitat Association aims to serve as a bridge between Turkish youth and global sustainable development agendas. Operating across all 81 Turkish provinces, the organization promotes inclusion without distinction of religion, language, race, gender, sexual orientation or political opinion. Its key pillars include digital and entrepreneurial capacity building, inclusive growth, and advancing the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals.Through initiatives like Solve for Tomorrow, Habitat enables youth to become future-ready innovators and changemakers by nurturing STEM, digital literacy, and design‑centered thinking.

Solve For Tomorrow Türkiye Milestones and Global Footprints

Since its start, Solve -for Tomorrow Türkiye has successfully educated Design Thinking to 6140 students, reached out to 65 different provinces through workshops and coaching sessions, inspired 920 innovative projects that serve the Sustainable Development Goals, and supported 350 volunteer mentors who have played a crucial role in guiding participants toward impactful outcomes.

In the last year cycle alone, 263 teams from across Türkiye competed, involving 627 students, with 167 teachers and 15 mentors supporting them through workshops and coaching sessions.

The last year’s top honor went to Team PlazmiGenomix for their groundbreaking project, “Plasmid Production with Domestic Materials,” which aims to advance local vaccine production and strengthen disease prevention capabilities in Türkiye.

Second place was awarded to Team Akana for their innovative bioplastic initiative, “Küstik,” designed to combat plastic pollution while supporting agricultural sustainability through eco-friendly materials.

Team NeuroAid_Innovators claimed third place with a smart assistive device powered by joystick and gyroscope technology, developed to aid neck muscle movement and improve accessibility for individuals with limited mobility.
