Samsung Solve for Tomorrow is a global education program that guides youth to solve pressing real-world challenges using STEM. The initiative is designed to help students shape the future by providing them with the essential technical skills needed to bring their ideas to life.
In Poland, Solve for Tomorrow is a meaningful experience for not only students, but also volunteering mentors and employees alike. Samsung employees actively participate in the program as part of Samsung’s commitment to empower youth through various forms of solid mentorship.
Let’s look into the people working behind the scenes who devote their time and dedication to foster the next generation.
Inspiring hope for a better tomorrow
Olaf, Communications Director at Samsung Electronics Poland, shared his experience as a volunteer to train youth in public speaking, one of the challenging aspects of Solve for Tomorrow. His aim was to assist participants in refining presentations, and he was pleasantly surprised by the passion and involvement of the students. In particular, he recalled the moment a group of blind boys showed their modesty and commitment to help people struggling with similar disabilities.
Olaf commented, “I realized how important the role of Solve for Tomorrow is, not only offering hope for a better tomorrow but also effecting real changes in the world. I felt immensely proud that our program engages and inspires youth to influence our future.”
Uniting students around the country
Justyna, Senior Creative Designer at Samsung R&D Institute Poland, has been involved in Solve for Tomorrow since its launch in Poland. She was inspired to share her experiences with youth who never fail to surprise her with their amazing ideas and imagination each edition of the program.
“Solve for Tomorrow provides young students with the unique opportunity to design their own mini start-ups. They are surprisingly aware of the changing environment, know what their needs are, and can build their own ideas,” said Justyna. She added, “The program is meaningful in that it unites students from different schools with different financial resources, backgrounds, and skills.”
Samsung employees continue to choose to volunteer in Solve for Tomorrow because of the rewarding experience of fostering eager young minds to create a positive contribution to society. Through their commitment, they recognize the value of mentoring beyond their professional roles.
