Samsung Innovation Campus Accelerates AI Skills in Tunisia

Tunisia Sep 24. 2025

Tunisia – Samsung Electronics Co., Ltd. today announced that the Samsung Innovation Campus (SIC) program is returning to Tunisia this year in partnership with the prestigious South Mediterranean University (SMU) — after the success of its first edition in the country in 2024.

As a global initiative driven by Samsung’s vision of "Together for Tomorrow! Enabling People," the program aims to prepare the next generation for future technological challenges by offering free, high-quality education in AI. Communication, teamwork, leadership and problem-solving are integral parts of the curriculum, ensuring comprehensive preparation for real-world challenges.

Cultivating Tomorrow’s Talent for Sustainable Growth

Present in over 30 countries, Samsung Innovation Campus has already trained thousands of students in emerging technologies such as AI, Big Data, IoT and coding. Beyond mere slogans, the program embodies Samsung’s genuine commitment to corporate social responsibility (CSR). Its primary missions are first, to develop proactive talents capable of solving tomorrow’s complex problems through future skills — and second, to contribute to global technological advancement by enriching local sustainable growth and positioning Samsung as a responsible and community-focused company.

A Comprehensive and Practical AI Training Program

The 2024 edition of Samsung Innovation Campus crowned the success of 46 participants, who received certification in AI and machine learning (ML). Selected from over 3,336 applicants, these talents illustrated the growing enthusiasm of Tunisia’s youth for future technologies such as AI and data science. This exceptional participation rate highlights both the dynamism of national potential and the perfect alignment of the program with the professional aspirations of young people in Tunisia.

In its 2025 edition, the Tunisia program aims to double the number of participants. Fully delivered in English, the one-and-a-half-month program will again focus on AI and includes lectures, practical workshops and collaborative projects to equip participants with the following fundamental and advanced skills:

• Foundations of AI and Opportunities
• Mathematics for Data Science (Linear Algebra)
• Probability and Statistics
• Machine Learning (Supervised and Unsupervised Learning)
• Natural Language Processing (NLP)
• Neural Networks and Deep Learning

The training will adopt a hybrid format: online courses followed by an in-person presentation for the capstone project, allowing for practical application of acquired knowledge.

Applicant Criteria

The program specifically targets Tunisian citizens residing in Tunisia who are aged between 18 and 29, passionate about technology, and have strong educational aspirations and a desire to build a career in the digital field. Ideal candidates are digitally savvy individuals and aspiring professionals who:

• Possess a background or skills in related fields, enabling them to follow an intensive program
• Have a foundation in statistics, object-oriented programming languages, and syntax (Java, JavaScript, C++)
• Hold a minimum B2 level in English

Applications were open from Sept. 1 to Sept. 15, via the official program website.
The list of selected students will be announced on Sept. 18, and the full training will take place from Sept. 23 to Nov. 27.

Positive Outcomes for Participants and Tunisia as a Whole

AI also addresses high market demand, offering program graduates sought-after skills. Beyond individuals, Samsung Innovation Campus aims to make a strong impact by contributing to the development of robust local tech communities ready to tackle future challenges.

Samsung’s choice to place AI at the heart of its program is no coincidence. It symbolizes the future of innovation and embodies the company’s desire to anticipate upcoming transformations. True to its values — People (Humanity), Excellence, Change, Integrity and Shared Prosperity — Samsung firmly believes that the future is built with and for talent, in a shared progress dynamic.

By offering Tunisian youth training aligned with international standards, Samsung Innovation Campus strengthens their competitiveness in the job market and stimulates local innovation. More than training, it is a strategic springboard for a generation called upon to play an active role in the Fourth Industrial Revolution.

The launch of this second edition reinforces Samsung’s visibility and commitment in Tunisia. It also demonstrates the brand’s reliability and leadership in innovation while promoting STEM education and creating positive and lasting social impact through high-quality educational initiatives.
