Building a Digital Education Environment with Local Schools

Equipping youth with digital capabilities is essential for shaping the leaders of tomorrow. Samsung Electronics is actively contributing to the development of digital skills through various youth education CSR initiatives. These efforts include supporting digital learning in local schools located in areas that require better digital education infrastructure. With IT devices and digital learning content provided by Samsung Electronics, we’ve seen firsthand how students in local schools in Vietnam and Spain are pursuing their future-focused dreams and developing tomorrow’s talent.

Planting Seeds of Hope at Samsung Hope School in Vietnam

Samsung Hope School is a significant CSR project by Samsung with a mission to spread knowledge, share visions, and create a brighter future for Vietnamese youth. By providing digital learning environments to Vietnamese students, this project contributes to the development of local education and cultivates future leaders who will make a positive impact on society. Samsung Hope School chain has been deployed in five provinces including Bac Ninh, Thai Nguyen, Bac Giang Lang Son and Binh Phuoc, providing learning opportunities for over 5,000 students to date.

In April of this year, a new computer lab was established at the Samsung Hope School in Lang Son. Samsung Electronics sponsored a computer lab equipped with the latest technology including 20 computers, a projector system, air conditioners, and Samsung TVs. It will benefit over 300 students and teachers.

Kim Yongsup , the Vice President of Samsung Electronics Vietnam who participated at the handover ceremony of Samsung Hope School in Lang Son, said, "Samsung will always support continuous development of Vietnam. We will strive to make Samsung Hope School in Lang Son a cradle for nurturing and training talents."

Pham Truong Giang, a student at Samsung Hope School in Lang Son, added, "I am really excited to go to the Samsung Hope School. Here, I’m learning a lot of useful subjects that give me a chance to improve myself."

Classroom of the Future Held in Spain

The Classroom of the Future in Spain is a training space for teachers dedicated to shaping the education of future generations. It provides a structured teaching and learning process that equips students with the ability to not only acquire knowledge but also understand and develop technological skills, enabling teachers to actively guide their students' learning.

Since the first Classroom of the Future opened in Spain in 2021, a total of 11 Classrooms of the Future have been established. Approximately 3,800 teachers have received training in teaching and learning process at Classrooms of the Future, along with participation from educational administrators and managers. Samsung Electronics, in collaboration with the Spanish Ministry of Education, Vocational Training and Sports (MEFPD) , as well as local organizations, plans to establish a total of 20 Classrooms of the Future across Spain by mid-2025. Through this initiative, the company aims to enhance teachers' expertise and capabilities in technology-based lessons and contribute to the development of digital talent.

Julio Albalad Gimeno, director of the National Institute of Educational Technologies and Teacher Training (INTEF), said, "An excellent educational space has been created to help teachers enhance their digital skills and competencies, and to apply digital technology innovations to actual education." He added, "This will significantly contribute to improving students' learning experiences and skill development."

Miguel Ángel Ruiz, Head of Brand & Innovation & CMI of Samsung Iberia, stated, “Samsung’s Classroom of the Future provides tablets, smartphones, Chromebooks, and other devices to the education community, to foster teaching methods suitable for the new digital era.” He added, “We will continue to work with INTEF to expand the reach of Classroom of the Future across Spain. “
