Samsung Electronics’ corporate citizenship programs aim to inspire and educate younger generations, guiding students around the world towards achieving their dreams. Behind the scenes of these programs are Samsung employees across the world devoting their time, energy, and effort to creating a better tomorrow.

The #JourneyToABetterFuture series presents the voices of Samsung employees in charge of youth education programs worldwide. Alongside the employees’ stories in helping young people to become the next generation of leaders, the series shares the stories of students from Samsung’s corporate citizenship programs about how they are achieving their dreams.

Anna Kolganova, a Corporate Citizenship manager in Samsung Electronics Russia, joined Samsung in 2014. As soon as she joined, Anna oversaw the launch of Russia’s Samsung Innovation Campus. Despite many difficulties, through teamwork and collaboration with her colleagues, she successfully implemented the program that has since then benefited numerous students in Russia.

Anna believes the future society to be technology-driven, that it is important to help the next generation realize their potential. “Our team is striving to provide a variety of quality education programs so that the young generation who carry Russia’s future can lead positive social changes and create a better world. To that end, we are creating more opportunities through extensive collaboration with the Russian government, policymakers, and educational institutions.”

Anna takes pride in her job when she sees students from all over the country participating in the program interact and grow together – even if they may argue over different ideas. “Project-based mindset, drive for discoveries, and desire for a change,” she emphasizes. “Seeing students move and change with these shared values is one of my favorite parts of work.”

Anna stresses the importance of goal setting and following through. “If you set a clear goal and move towards it, you will realize your potential. If you are not sure about what to do, come knock on the door of Samsung Electronics and our corporate citizenship programs.”
