Inside ‘Beelieve,’ the Award-Winning AI Beekeeping Project Created by Three Students in Kazakhstan

Three students who grew up in Taraz, Kazakhstan, closely observing local beekeeping, came up with an AI-powered smart beekeeping solution that enables hive management anytime, anywhere.

Beelieve is a smart beekeeping system that installs sensor modules inside hives to collect temperature, humidity, weight, and bee activity data, which is transmitted via LoRa and analyzed by AI to predict swarming, colony collapse, and parasite risks in advance.

Through design thinking–based mentoring, the Beelieve team refined its service and business model, built a strong network, and went on to win first place at the national SANA AI competition while expanding growth opportunities through engagement with global leaders.

With the goal of protecting bees and advancing sustainable agriculture, the Beelieve team is scaling its AI and IoT beekeeping solution while driving youth innovation and the modernization of traditional industries nationwide
