Known for its AI, IoT, Coding & Programming courses, Samsung Innovation Campus is a global ICT education program for young people around the world. A new edition of SIC was held in Brazil in July 2022 through a partnership with the National Service of Industrial Training and the Federal Institute of Sao Paulo, and the final round ended in December with 55 graduating students.

Let’s take a look at how the program is helping young talent thrive in the future.

Reinforcing essential future skills

Anna, Corporate Marketing Director at Samsung Brazil, positioned Samsung Innovation Campus as a major CSR program contributing to today’s youth: “Samsung Innovation Campus is part of Samsung’s global vision in corporate social responsibility to promote quality education for the future generation.”

She added, “It is extremely important for us to carry out this program with our partners, because it helps train young people and prepare them for the job market with essential problem-solving skills.”

An exciting time for new beginnings

Gustavo Guimarães, a student who participated in Samsung Innovation Campus in 2022, developed a micro-controlled device that calculates irregular areas. He plans to represent the Federal Institute of Campinas at ISEF, the largest international science and engineering fair at the pre-university level in the world. He was also invited to study electrical engineering at the University of Sao Paulo.

Gustavo thanked Samsung for the opportunity, saying, “Samsung Innovation Campus is a huge asset in my education. My life changed overnight, and this would not have been possible without Samsung.” He added, “2023 is an exciting time for new beginnings as I’m joining University of Sao Paulo. I also have a trip planned to Regeneron International Science and Engineering Fair, the world's largest pre-college STEM competition in Dallas, Texas, where I will be presenting an updated version of a project that I have developed at Samsung Innovation Campus. I am more than excited and grateful to have had the opportunity to learn and find my passion for technology with Samsung.”
